Roman was appointed as Executive Vice President of ZEISS Microoptics in 2021. In this role, he leads the development of pioneering solutions that utilize holography to convert glass into a smart surface, targeting new use cases in the automotive sector, as well as applications in aerospace and the consumer & home-tech industry. Prior to joining ZEISS in 2017, Roman served as the Managing Partner of Ilmenau Optics Solutions GmbH, where he contributed to the company’s technological advancements over eight years. He holds a PhD in Integrated Optical Systems from the Technical University of Ilmenau, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
