Eduard “Edwin” Ollefers is Head of Design at Audi China, leading a diverse, multi-national team of designers, that bridges German engineering excellence with Chinese culture and aesthetics.
He started his career at Audi AG over 18 years ago, within the global interior design team. With several previous leadership roles in user interface architecture, user experience and seating he developed a broad expertise in holistic design before moving to China in 2022.

At Audi China Eduard is responsible for advanced and production design as well as UI/UX- and CME-design for local Audi programs and select global programs, for both Audi and AUDI, in the new Chinese dual brand setup. Both brands were recently awarded, by expert panel vote, with the 2026 CCOY “China Design Car of the Year” award for the Audi A5L as well as the 2026 CCOY “China Car of the Year” award for the AUDI E5L Sportback.

Born in the Netherlands, Eduard holds a master’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology. As a (co-)inventor he holds over a dozen patents and contributed to nearly all vehicle programs as well as many show cars of Audi over the last two decades.
